Het thema van de Diesviering is Create, Connect & Celebrate. De Diesrede wordt gehouden door prof. dr. Beatrice de Graaf, hoogleraar History of International Relations & Global Governance. Daarnaast worden er 4 eredoctoraten, de Docentenprijs en de prijs Jong Docententalent uitgereikt. Ook de alumnus van het jaar wordt bekend gemaakt. Aansluitend aan de viering vindt een informele borrel plaats.
